Randi Zuckerberg leaves Facebook to start RtoZ Media
Aug 6th, 2011
Facebook, the social media giant, which has been in news for long for its success stories, is in headlines again. But this time it’s not due to any new milestone achieved. This time it’s shocking news for Facebook. Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook’s marketing director and sister of Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, has resigned. She has quit Facebook to start her own social media consulting firm called RtoZ Media.
Randi has been working with Facebook from its early days and is really famous in and out of company. She has handled some high-profile projects like the ABC News and Facebook Presidential Primary debate in 2008, CNN/Facebook Inauguration Partnership in 2009, ABC/Facebook Live Election Night Coverage in 2010 and many more. She has been a prominent figure and her ideas related with social media helped Facebook a lot in reaching where facebook stands now. She was recently nominated for an Emmy for her work with Facebook Live. (Mashable recently teamed up with Facebook Live for its SXSW coverage.)
Randi has confirmed this via her Twitter account: “It is with mixed emotions that I announced my departure from Facebook today to launch my own initiative. More info soon… dthin.gs/oWMTHy”
